Wattie’s Tomato Sauce Ice Cream

On the back of one of our ‘It’s a Kiwi thing’ ice-cream execution for Wattie’s Tomato Sauce, TVNZ’s Seven Sharp picked up in the idea and tried the flavour combination live on air. The host, Jeremy Wells like the taste. Sensing an opportunity, we quickly partnered with Tip Top to create a new ice cream made with Wattie’s Tomato Sauce, get New Zealand to support the idea on social media, get it actually made and into the hands of the public for them to try it - all within less than a week.

The concept made global headlines, our social media work on the idea reached a global audience of 25 million for an earned media value of NZ$2 million and lifts across all brand tracking metrics: Spontaneous awareness, promoted awareness, brand preference.
